Detect presence of the kratom alkaloid mitragynine, a mood altering opioid receptor agonist, which has both stimulant and opioid effects.

Methodology

Initial presumptive testing by immunoassay (IA) at a testing threshold of 5.0 ng/mL; presumptive positives confirmed by definitive liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) at a testing threshold of 1.0 ng/mL
